The Rochdale Diversity Awards raised £816 for Rochdale Foodbank and Springhill Hospice.

The awards ceremony was held at an inspiring evening at Rochdale Town Hall in June 2014.

Zulf Ahmed, chief executive of organisers KYP, said: “I would like to thank all the guests who donated money for these two worthwhile charities that support the most needy in society. We hope that next year we will be able to raise even more money for local charities”

Iain Wight from Rochdale Foodbank said: "At Rochdale Foodbank, we are very grateful to community groups and individuals who raise funds on our behalf. Rochdale Diversity Awards were an excellent showcase for community cohesion, and we are pleased to be honoured by those who generously donated on the night".

Elaine McConnell from Springhill Hospice said: “We would like to say a massive thank you everyone who helped raise money at the Rochdale Diversity Awards 2014 ceremony for Springhill Hospice. It cost thousands of pounds a week to run the hospice and we are grateful for any and all donations.”

Rochdale Foodbank and Springhill Hospice require continuous support to ensure that those who use their services are receiving the resources and care which is essential to their wellbeing.
