Sahiwal Working Party and Al Mahmood Foundation complete water filtration plant in Sahiwal

Villagers in Sahiwal, Rochdale’s twin town in Pakistan, have sent messages of thanks after the Sahiwal Working Party and Al Mahmood Foundation completed a joint project to build and fund a water filtration plant in Sahiwal.
The project has started providing clean drinking water to the civil hospital and the local community around the hospital. Thousands of patients, visitors and staff and the local community will benefit.
Al Mahmood Foundation is already running a Post Traumatic Medical Centre in Civil Hospital.
The Sahiwal Working Party and Al Mahmood Foundation sharedthe cost of £9,000 of the Water Filtration Plant.
Councillor Sultan Ali, Chairman of the Sahiwal Working Party, presented a cheque for £4,500 to Tahir Mahmood, Chairman of the Al Mahmood Foundation.
Rochdale has been twinned with Sahiwal since 1989.
