Aaron Diskin invited to 10 Downing Street in recognition of his charity work

Date published: 29 September 2014

Aaron Diskin joined Samantha Cameron, who hosted a reception at Number 10 for beneficiaries and supporters of the disabled children’s charity Whizz-Kidz, at 10 Downing Street.

Aaron, who is a Year 11 pupil at Wardle Academy and an ambassador for the charity, got the chance to meet Mrs Cameron.

Aaron is also a board member for the charity and is one of eight young disabled people who represents Whizz-Kidz’s 1,600 strong regional network of young ambassadors. These youngsters have all benefited from Whizz-Kidz’s services and now drive change in their local communities.

Aaron said: “Visiting number ten was a great experience for me, as I was able to thank the supporters of Whizz-Kidz as well as meet the inspiring Hannah Cockcroft and funny man Alex Brooker from Channel 4’s ‘The Last Leg.”

Aaron also attended the Labour party Conference in Manchester to further promote Whizz-Kidz and to highlight the issues that those with disabilities in the UK still face today.
