Amelia and Zachary Hill, from Littleborough, have raised £459 for the NSPCC Childline Schools Service by completing a sponsored cycle ride.
Amelia and Zachary undertook their sponsored ride on Saturday 11 October with mum Vivien. The trio set off from their home in Littleborough to Hebden Bridge and completed the ride in three hours.
Amelia and Zachary were inspired to do their sponsored cycle by Grandad Bob Chadwick. Bob is a keen fundraiser and has completed charity challenges including trekking to Machu Picchu and along the Avenue of Volcanoes in Ecuador.
Speaking of his grandchildren’s achievement, Bob said: “I am so proud of Amelia and Zachary. This whole event was their idea and they have given it their all to raise money to help children who are not as fortunate as themselves.”
With all of their sponsor money now collected, the grand total has been sent to the NSPCC and will be used towards the provision of the Childline Schools Service in the North West.
Gift Aid will add over £500 to the money raised.
