Robinwood Trip for Y5

If your child is going to Robinwood in December, please make sure that he/she is represented at the meeting on: Wednesday 19 November at 6.00 p.m. in the main hall. The meeting will last for 30 – 40 minutes and all – children too – are encouraged to come.

Christmas Lights

On Saturday 15 November the Christmas lights are being switched on in Middleton town centre. The festivities start at 12noon and finish at 6pm.

On Sunday 16 November during the morning there will be a reindeer parade in the town centre – so go along and have some Christmas fun.

Christmas Hampers

We have some beautiful Christmas hampers on sale in school. They vary in price from £3 to £20 and are filled with toiletries, chocolates, gardening items, movie night, food etc. If you would like to take a look at them please come to the school office.

Christmas Puddings

We have Christmas puddings on sale at the school office for the bargain price of £3.00. Don’t miss out.

Non-Uniform Day

Please bring a gift of chocolate for the Christmas Fair on Friday 21 November in return for coming to school in ‘Own Clothes’.

Children in Need

This appeal is tomorrow, Friday 14 November. There are no plans in school for anything special, but if you would like to send a donation to the school office, we will send them on as a school.

Parents’ Questionnaire

Find attached the summary of the questionnaires completed at and around Parents’ Evening in October.

I have also included some of the comments and suggestions made by parents. Thank you if you completed a questionnaire. Sheets have been shared with staff and whilst we appreciate the positive comments made there were lots of them ) we also appreciate suggestions about how to improve our school.

Parent Governor Vacancy
I wrote to you recently inviting applications for the vacant Parent Governor post. I received one application by the due date, and am therefore pleased to inform you that the new Governor will be: Mr James Mountford, father of Arwen in Y2.

Our next meeting of the full Governing Body is on Wednesday 26 November, and following that I shall send information, and photographs, of the members.

Attendance Ted was shared by 1B and 4A who had 99.7% attendance last week.
On Time Ted was shared by RR, RW, 5T and 5S, who had no children late for school – Well Done!

Menu for week beginning Monday 17 November

Monday: Baked Fish Fingers, Quiche (V), Chips, Mushy Peas or Baked Beans, Baked Dessert and Custard, Yoghurt and Fruit.
Tuesday: Hot Dogs Meat or Vegetable (V), (not frankfurters) in a finger roll, French Fries or Wedges, Spaghetti Hoops (V) or mixed salad, Fruit Whip / Fruit Salad
Yoghurt and Fruit
Wednesday; Roast Dinner with Trimmings, Pasta Bake
(V), Garlic Bread, Pancakes (Blueberry or other fruit), Yoghurt and Fruit.
Thursday: Curry and Boiled Rice, Naan Bread, Cottage Pie, Selection of Vegetables
Or Baked Beans, Baked Dessert and Custard, Fresh Fruit / Yoghurts.
Friday: All Day Breakfast
(Omelette, sausage (meat or Quorn), Hash brown, tomatoes, baked beans), Cheesy Jackets (V), Mixed Salad, Jelly and Ice Cream, or iced cake, Yoghurt and Fruit
(V) – vegetarian option. Jacket potatoes are also available each day as are sandwiches.
