Christmas Lunch

If your child normally has a packed lunch but would like to have a Christmas lunch on 17 December, please complete the slip your child brought home last week. If your child is in the Juniors the cost is £2 and if they are in the Infants the meal is free of charge. The deadline for orders is Monday 1 December. Thank you.

Miss Sutcliffe

We will soon be saying a fond ‘Farewell’ to Miss Sutcliffe, the Y5 teacher, who will be leaving us at the end of term for a teaching post in another school. I am grateful to her for her hard work and commitment to our children and our school and wish her ‘Good Luck’ with her new job. Miss Sutcliffe’s replacement, starting in January will be Miss Hill, who will be coming into school to meet the children and get to know our routines, before the Christmas Holiday.

Attendance Ted was won by 6L who had 99% attendance last week. On Time Ted was won by 5T - who had no children late for school – Well Done.

Friday 5 December is Non-uniform Day and children are asked to bring the following:
Nursery & Reception – cakes
Years 1- 6 – sweets.
Our Non-uniform days have been very successful – a huge thank you for all your donations.

Christmas Shows

Here are the dates for our Christmas Shows:
Years 1 & 2 – Wednesday 10 December at 2pm and Thursday 11 December at 2pm.
Nursery & Reception – Tuesday 16 December at 2pm.

Tickets will be available from school and will be distributed on the basis of two tickets per child in total ( not two for each performance ). Look out for tomorrow’s letter for details.

Dangerous Parking

Unfortunately we have to remind you once again about parking near to school. Last week a photograph was shown to school of a Silver Peugeot 307, PK07 TPF. The driver of this vehicle had parked on the central grassed area on the roundabout near Kingsway. This is clearly extremely dangerous.

Also, one of our children’s carers suffered a very nasty fall as she had to walk in the road when a van belonging to another parent was parked on the kerb. She had severe bruising on her face and was very badly shaken up. Please can we ask that you park with care and consideration for local residents, children and any other people. Thank you.
