Beech House School has been awarded gold status for the work undertaken in the Physical Education department during the last academic
year.

The school is one of six schools in Rochdale to be awarded the status which shows how well the school works in lots of different aspects of sport including coaching, organising and participating.

Mr Hargreaves said: “The provision offered at Beech House is outstanding and it is just nice to have our provision awarded.”

The school competed in over 120 sporting fixtures last year and is pleased to have been awarded the status.

Miss Whitehead added: “We offer provision for all pupils and we ensure sport is part of pupil’s school development.

"To receive this status is fantastic for our pupils who work hard and have reaped the benefits.”
