Foundation and KS1 will be putting on two performances of their show “What a star”. These will be held on Thursday 11 December at 2.15pm and Friday 12 December at 9.15am. Please try to come along to one of these. It would be lovely to see lots of parents. We ask that you arrive 10 minutes before the performance and switch off your mobile phones so that the children are not disturbed.

Friday 12 December non-uniform day

The children may attend in their own-clothes in return for donating a chocolate item (in its wrapper) for the chocolate tombola at the winter fair. Details of the winter fair will be communicated next week but this will take place on the afternoon of Tuesday 16 December.

We have two vacancies for Parent Governors on our Governing Body. It is an exciting time to join the leadership team at Hamer and Governance is vital to our success. We really hope that some of our parents will put themselves forward for election to join us. Posters will be going up in school and details of the process and nominations forms will be sent out to all families next week. Meanwhile, if anyone has any questions relating to this key role in our school, please make an appointment to see Mr Moore or ring school to speak with him any time

We must remind you that dogs must not accompany families on to the playground at Hamer at any time of the day.

We must also remind parents not to double park on the car park and the disabled spaces are at all times are only to be used by people with a blue disabled badge.

The school will close on Friday 19 December at 3.15pm and reopen on Monday 5 January 2015.
