Littleborough Prosecution Society helps Hare Hill House

Date published: 23 January 2015

Littleborough Prosecution Society held their 140th Annual General Meeting on Friday 9 January at Littleborough Cricket Club.

130 members were entertained by Big Lou - aka Lewis Jones - and tucked into a four-course traditional roast beef dinner.

Three years ago, the society decided to award a local good cause a donation of £1 for every year the society had been in existence. This year, it was unanimously agreed that the Hare Hill House project be supported.

A local business owner, Graham Poole of Poole's Transport Limited, generously agreed to double the donation to £280.

Jamie Beninson, Chairman of the society said "It was a fantastic night"

"The food was delicious and the waitresses and bar staff at Littleborough Cricket Club could not be faulted, they worked extremely hard and did a fantastic job. "

"We are delighted to donate £280 to Hare Hill House to help towards all the wonderful things they are doing there."

"Thank you to Littleborough for your support and to Graham Poole for doubling the donation."

Littleborough Prosecution Society was originally formed by Littleborough Farmers and Land owners so they could meet and discuss any land or farming disputes that may have occurred between them over the past 12 months.
