Rochdale Sixth Form College has topped the Department for Education’s performance league tables and been named the best sixth form college for value added performance in the country.
The College, which achieves a third of a grade higher per subject than the national average, beat 93 other sixth form colleges to achieve the ranking.
Julian Appleyard, Principal at Rochdale Sixth Form College, said: “We are delighted that the hard work of the staff and students is yet again reflected in the Department for Education performance tables and confirm the outstanding grade awarded to the college by Ofsted.”
Value added scores are calculated by looking at the progress students have made in subjects since joining a college.
