David Gani given Criminal Behaviour Order
David Gani (03/06/1981) of Greenlees Street, Rochdale has been given a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO).
Gani, who is a prolific shoplifter with over 100 shoplifting convictions, would often enter shops whilst under the influence of alcohol and was aggressive and abusive to members of staff.
After serving a sentence for numerous offences of theft, Gani was issued with the CBO.
The order given to Gani has the following conditions:
- Not to enter any self-service food shop, supermarket or store from which the defendant has been banned in writing
- Not be in possession of any open alcohol in a public place
- Not to engage in any aggressive, intimidating or violent behaviour towards shop managers, shop staff or security officers or guards.
The CBO gives authorities another tool to deal with individuals who behave persistently in an anti-social way or who may be engaged in criminal activity.
Anyone who witnesses Gani breaching the terms of his CBO can contact police on the non-emergency number 101 or by calling Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
