Lowerplace Primary School support Safer Internet Day 2015

Date published: 09 February 2015

Lowerplace is joining hundreds of other organisations across the UK in celebrating Safer Internet Day and promoting the safe and responsible use of technology.

To celebrate the day at Lowerplace all computing lessons this week will focus on eSafety and using the internet responsibly. We will also be holding assemblies to promote eSafety messages and the children have been set a homework task around the theme of staying safe online.

Parveen Earl, Headteacher of Lowerplace Primary School said: “It is great to be part of Safer Internet Day 2015 so that we can actively promote positive and safe internet activity. It is something we all need to engage in to make the internet a safe resource for all.”

Safer Internet Day 2015 is on Tuesday 10 February 2015, with the theme ‘Let’s create a better internet together’, offering the opportunity to focus on both the creative and positive things that children and young people are doing online, as well as the role that we all play in helping to create a better internet.
