Matthew Moss High School Year 8 Parents’ Evening

Date published: 27 February 2015

On Thursday 5 March 2015 between 4.30pm and 7.00pm Matthew Moss High School Year 8 Parents' are invited to meet your child’s subject teachers.

This is an excellent opportunity to discuss your child’s progress and his / her report.

For example:

• What are my child’s strengths?
• Has my child shown any special talents?
• What is my child finding difficult?
• How can I help with this?
• Does my child try hard enough?
• Does my child join in class discussions?
• How can I help with my child’s school work in general?
• Has my child made sufficient progress since his/her last report?
• Is my child happy at school?
• Has my child made friends?
• Does my child’s behaviour give any cause for concern?

Parents’ Evening is an important event and one the school values very highly.

Evidence shows that parents and carers have a major impact upon how well their children perform in school.

Therefore the staff at Matthew Moss would very much like to see parents and carers celebrate your child’s achievements and help shape their future direction.

Your child will help you by arranging appointments with their teachers.
