Siddal Moor students at Handball Finals

North West County Handball Finals
Erin Kilpatrick, Harry Thorpe and Josh McDaid all students from Siddal Moor were selected to represent Greater Manchester County U16S boys and girls Handball squads and played in the North West County Finals on Saturday 14 February. They have been attending County training for the last 3 months.
Although Greater Manchester didn’t progress to the National Finals in April, some tough matches were played with the boys being placed 3rd and the girls 2nd. The students were a credit to the school and played some great handball.
Both Josh and Harry have now been invited to attend the U16 North West Regional Academy and Harry impressed selectors so much that he was invited to attend National Academy training with a view to possible selection for a European competition in Denmark in July.
Both Josh and Harry have the opportunity to attend a Regional Academy camp in Denmark in July too.
A Big Well Done to all the students who took part.
