Year 7 attended a Rugby Festival at Matthew Moss School on Tuesday night.
There were excellent performances from the year 7 boys: Kai Smith, Harvey Holden, Scott Santi, Matthew Foggerty, Julian Dimbir, Chris Fleming, Christie Joyce, Dale Hedderman, Reagan Faye, Bailey Kershaw and Shay Stansfield.
They have now qualified for the final to be played against Wardle as a curtain raiser to a forthcoming Rochdale Hornets game at Spotland Stadium.

St Cuthbert's first Accelerated Reader Millionaire is Megan Clark. Megan has accumulated a word count of 2,672,998 by successfully completing 23 quizzes. A certificate and vivo rewards were given to Megan during the Year 7 assembly. Michael Ellison, Natalia Czarnecka, Zainab Mohammed and Alicia Brookes also received Star Reader certificates for their attainment.

The form with the highest attendance is 7.2 Vivos have been issued to all.
Certificates were issued to the accelerated readers in Year 7 who have topped the chart.
Assembly has focussed on encouragement to think about what we can give up for charity and what things tempt us away from what we should be doing.

Well done to all our Year 11 Drama students who performed their final GCSE pieces for the moderator. The commitment demonstrated by all pupils was excellent. Pupils performed with confidence; the plays were well rehearsed and many performers demonstrated real flair.
