Police News – Rochdale East

Inspector Niall Pawson said: "Our priorities remain tackling Burglaries and working closely with victims of Domestic Abuse offering reassurance and assistance ensuring victims get the best possible help and support.

"In relation to tackling crime on the Rochdale East Neighbourhood this week a warrant was successfully executed in the Newhey area, and 44 cannabis plants which were being grown were recovered at the scene.  

"In relation to car crime over the past couple of weeks we have experienced a number of theft’s involving number plates, however to address this, our officers have been holding Safe plating events.

Plating events planned for next week will be held in Milnrow & Newhey on the 11 April between 10am and 2pm at Milnrow Co-op, and also at Morrisons, Kingsway on the 15 April between 1pm and 5pm.

It has been another busy week this week in relation to burglary dwelling, in total there has been 16 burglaries:

Milnrow & Newhey x 1
Wardle x 2
Balderstone & Kirkholt x 1
Castleton x 4
Kingsway x 6
Smallbridge x 1

Vehicle Crime

There have been four theft from a motor vehicle:

Kikholt x 0
Littlebrough x 3
Milnrow & Newhey x
Smallbridge & Firgrove x 1
Wardle 0
Castleton x 0
Kingsway x 0

There has been one theft of a motor vehicle:

Kingsway x 1

Burglary other than Dwelling

There has been seven burglary others for the week:

Balderstone & Kirkholt x 1
Castleton x 1
