Family fun day and craft fayre at Honresfeld
Date published: 13 April 2015
Honresfeld care home held a family fun day and craft fayre in aid of Leonard Cheshire Disability on Sunday (12 April).
The fayre featured handmade crafts, raffles and tombola, along with Snow Queen Elsa and Princess Anna from Frozen for the children. The event was to raise money for their network charity, Leonard Cheshire Disability, which helps support the disabilities of their residents.
Other stalls included a refreshments stall with delicious, home-made cakes with tea or coffee, and a stall with hand-made bath bombs.
Danielle Turner, volunteer coordinator of Leonard Cheshire Disability at Honresfeld, said: “The money we’ve raised from the fayre goes towards the home, and more importantly for things and services our residents want and need.”
Sophie Mitchell, on the craft stall, added: “I make all the crafts myself. All the money goes to the home and towards more craft supplies.”
