‘Easter Eggstravaganza’ at Middleton Gardens
Date published: 14 April 2015
Middleton Town Centre Management held Easter Eggstravaganza in Middleton Gardens on Saturday (4 April).
Middleton Gardens was transformed into an Easter Egg Treasure Hunt and a whole host of fun for the children.
In the hunt, children had to collect 11 stickers from a number of different market stalls and shops in the town centre, to help them complete their treasure map.
As soon as the treasure hunt was completed, children took their maps to a signposted stall on the market run by the Middleton Town Centre Management staff. There, they were able to collect their prize of an Easter Egg and certificate.
Merlin the Magician made a few appearances, alongside In the Night Garden’s Iggle Piggle and fun and games with family favourite Punch and Judy. Children could partake in magic shows and have their face painted.
Ashleigh Franklin, Middleton Town Centre Manager, said: “The event was a roaring success with families and children. It was lovely to see the children so excited to be completing their treasure maps and it was also lovely to see additional footfall throughout Middleton Gardens.
“We gave out 110 eggs as prizes for completed treasure maps and expect that to double next year. The event is something we will definitely be repeating in 2016.”
