Air ambulance attends traffic accident in which 61-year-old man is seriously injured

Air ambulance at Todmorden Road, Littleborough
A 61-year-old man sustained serious head and foot injuries when hit by a Honda car in a traffic accident on Todmorden Road, Littleborough at 3.00pm today (Tuesday 21 April).
The air ambulance was called and attended along with two ambulances and the police.
The man was taken to Salford Royal Hospital.
A local resident said: "NW Air Ambulance attended the scene.
"Todmorden Road is now closed with a diversion via Barnes Meadows and Temple Lane. HGVs cannot pass on this route - so traffic chaos."
