Bryan Reynolds, who lives in Norden, and his daughters Joanne Reynolds and Nichola Day, will be taking part in the London Marathon on Sunday (26 April).
The trio are taking part in the marathon to raise money for Macmillan nurses, something close to the family’s heart.
Bryan said: “Macmillan nurses have a connection to the family so we wanted to raise as much money as possible for them.”
Bryan, Nichola and Joanne have already raised £500 for their chosen charity but have been promised that anything they raise will be doubled.
“Expert Logistics have said that whatever we raise they will match, so we have the potential to raise some big money here,” added Bryan.
Bryan and his daughters have been training for the marathon for a number of months and are now looking forward to taking part on Sunday.
Bryan, who lives in Norden, said: “I have done a half marathon before but this is the first full marathon that I have done. It will also be a first for Nichola but Joanne has done one before.
“I think now that it is here, the excitement levels are building.
"I like going down to London anyway and think it is a nice place to visit so hopefully, if the weather stays nice, then it should be a good day.”
