Date published: 29 April 2015

A big musical evening coming up on Saturday, May 16 when we host the musical 'Saints Alive', and you don't have to be a St Helens rugby league fan to enjoy this version of 'the Saints'.

The musical by Roger Jones takes the form of a celebration of Pentecost and it will be presented by the United Christian Singers, and starts at 7pm in Church, tickets are FREE (now there's a first) and donations will be made to Christian Aid.

Other diary dates in this merry month of May are as follows:

Sunday, May 10: Rogation Sunday Walk. Rogation Sunday is always the Sunday before Ascension Day. We thank God for the creation, ask for his blessing on the coming seasons of growing and harvesting and on human labour.

We walk the parish boundaries to celebrate our parish identity, leaving Church at 1.30pm and expecting to arrive back at about 5pm.

Thursday, May 14: Ascension Day, 7.30pm Sung Eucharist.
