St Andrew's, Dearnley and Smithy Bridge
On Sunday we have the Rogation Sunday Walk, in which we walk the parish boundaries to celebrate our parish identity.
We leave Church at 1.30pm and expect to be back by 5pm. All are welcome to to step out with us.
Next week we have a 7.30pm Sung Eucharist for Ascension Day on Thursday (May 14), followed on Saturday week (May 16) by a big musical evening in Church when we host 'Saints Alive' by Roger Jones.
It's a musical which takes the form of a celebration of Pentecost and it will be presented by the United Christian Singers.
It starts at 7pm in Church, tickets are FREE but donations will be made to Christian Aid.
We hope to see a huge turn-out for this event which will provide us with an entertaining evening of great music and a wonderful opportunity to support Christian Aid.
The parish rota for this Sunday, May 9 (9.30am Sung Eucharist) is as follows: lay assistants, S Moore, C Cook; readers, P Shrigley, J Mills; Intercessions, C Longhurst; sidespersons, G Kilpatrick, M Sheridan; refreshments, Jackie, Shirley H, Margaret C.
