St Barnabas Church, in Littleborough, held their first ever spring concert this afternoon (Saturday 9 May).
Held to raise money for church funds, the concert included performances from Holy Trinity School Choir, Rochdale Youth Orchestra and Geoff Proffit, as well as a raffle.
Church Warden Deana Perrie said: “This is the first time we have done this concert and we wanted to do it for the community to encourage them into the church.”
Performances from Rochdale Youth Orchestra included You’ll never Walk Alone and Swing Low Sweet Chariot, whilst Holy Trinity Choir sang songs including Catch a Falling Star and You Are My Sunshine.
Ms Perrie added: “It is also a good way to encourage the younger children to perform and to help lift their confidence as well.”
The church was full to the brim with people watching.
“We are really pleased with the response. It has gone down really well,” added Ms Perrie.
