Hamer Community Primary School

Date published: 15 May 2015

A theatre company came into school on Friday and was a surprise for the whole school at the end of SATs week and to say thank you to all the children for being so quiet and considerate as they moved through school this week and for their lovely messages of support for their Year 6 colleagues as posted on the website last week. The production of Treasure Island was brilliant and the children enjoyed the show.

Thank you once again to our generous Hamer families who bought in bags of unwanted clothes and bedding to raise money for charity. The weigh in came in at 121 Kilos which raised £48.40 . Well Done .

On Friday 15 May the children listed below enjoyed a lovely lunch at Pizza Hut. This is a reward to recognise their fantastic behaviour throughout the half term at lunchtime. Thank you to Mr Nadin, Mr Khan and Miss Mullane for taking the children.

Miss Wild hosts Parent Classes for parents or grandparent of our pupils, every Thursday morning to help with learning at home starting at 9.10am.

Please come along and join the group and find out more about how the children learn and also develop community relationships around learning with other motivated parents.

Well done to Miss Weaver and Miss Holden classes for the best attendance for week ending 8 May. Please support us by ensuring that your child is on time and in school every day.

The Year 6 completed their formal national tests in English and Maths this week and we had full attendance and full commitment. We would like to say a huge well done to every single member of Year 6 and to their families for the learning partnerships with school. A letter has been given to each Year 6 child and this will be available to read on the website very soon.

The Citizens of the week are of course … Year 6 for having a fantastic attitude towards all the tests during SATS week and trying their best. We are all so very proud of you. Well Done.
