Man dies following firearm being discharged in Littleborough

A man was found dead at Rakewood Road in Littleborough following a firearm being discharged.
Just after 9am on Monday 25 May 2015, police were called to Rakewood Road following reports a man had been found with serious injuries.
Police were also informed a firearm had been discharged.
As a result of that information, armed officers along with neighbourhood officers attended at the address and a man was pronounced dead at the scene.
At this stage, there is not thought to be any third party involvement and police are not looking for anyone else in connection with his death.
