Emmanuel Mufakazi breaks sprint record at Rochdale School’s Athletics Championships

Emmanuel Mufakazi, 14, a pupil at Falinge Park High School, has broken the record for the 100m sprint at the Rochdale School’s Athletics Championships.
His winning time was 11.29 seconds, which saw him beat the two-year-old record by two hundredths of a second.
Held at Sportcity, Manchester on Tuesday 16 June, Emmanuel won the heat and went on to take gold in the 100m sprint.
Emmanuel then competed in the year 10 4x100m relay, his team finishing in second place, with St Cuthbert’s taking first place.
