Ram Dhakal, Davies Murakatete, Dilli Chhetri, Amit Budhathoki and Nima Tamang, students at Hopwood Hall College, raised over £100 to help the people of Nepal following the terrible earthquakes earlier this year.
The five students, four of whom are originally from Nepal, but who now live in Rochdale, spent a week collecting money around campus from staff and students. The money will now be sent to an orphanage in Nepal that was affected by the disaster.
Farah Rehman, Learner Participation Officer and College Sports Maker, said: “The students have done a fantastic job in raising money for the orphanage. It’s lovely to see that they want to do such a good thing for those in need.”
