'Springy', the Springhill Hospice mascot can be purchased in the Rochdale Online Department Store

The fundraising team are appealing to people for raffle prizes for upcoming tombolas and raffles. If anyone is clearing out their cupboards and can help raise money for Springhill Hospice then all donations are welcome. Collections can be made from your home. Call the team on 01706 641790.

The Baum and The Healey raised £666 on Go Green Day.

Personal trainer Nicola Simpson has raised £268 (plus gift aid) for the Hospice having completed the Chester Half Marathon.

Dates for the Diary

Saturday 4 July
Springy’s Moonlit Sprint or Stroll
Registration for the event starts at 8.30pm with everyone setting off from Rochdale Rugby Union Club at 9.30pm. The event will see those involved dressing up as Springy to take on the 10km walk in aid of Springhill Hospice.

Saturday 11 July
Fundraising Hog Roast
Held at The Baum from 4pm, tickets are £15 and the event will include a Hog Roast and live entertainment. Tickets are limited and children can attend for half price. For more information contact Elaine on 017060 641790.

Saturday 25 July
Summer Serenade
Held in the grounds of Springhill Hospice, entertainment will be provided by the GMP Male Voice Choir, Rochdale Community Band and other supporting groups. Those attending can bring a picnic and a blanket along as the event is held outside (weather permitting). Tickets are £7.50, which includes a glass of wine. Tickets can be bought by ringing 01706 649920.

Sunday 9 August
Open Garden Day
The Open Garden Day at Springhill Hospice gives guests the chance to tour the beautiful gardens of the Hospice. Held between 11am and 3pm, there will also be plants for sale, demonstrations throughout the afternoon, Springhill crafts, merchandise, tea and coffee, homemade cakes, word searches and colouring for the children.
