A ten-strong team from Rochdale-based Vileda got muddy for money last weekend as they took on Manchester’s Pretty Muddy 5K, raising more than £1,300 for Cancer Research UK.
The Vileda Vixens joined forces with a team from local security and fire safety solutions provider, Chubb Fire, to get down and dirty, taking on the 5K muddy obstacle course at Heaton Park in Prestwich, to raise much needed funds for the cancer charity.
Lindsey Taylor, Shopper Product Manager at Vileda, said: “We’re well used to taking on dirt in our day jobs, but the Pretty Muddy was one of our biggest challenges yet, although we did make sure we all wore our Marigolds to ensure at least our hands stayed mud-free.
"Between this and our bake sales, we’re delighted to have raised so much money.
“Having all known someone who has been affected by cancer, we wanted to take on a challenge that gave us the chance to raise money for a charity close all of our hearts.
"I’d just like to thank everyone for their generous donations which have helped us raise a massive £1,374.”
