Oulder Hill students Azeem Faisal and Molly Williams are 'A' stars

Oulder Hill Head Boy, Azeem Faisal and Head Girl, Molly Williams are celebrating their excellent GCSE results.

Azeem got seven A*s and three As and is going to continue his studies at Rochdale Sixth Form College.

Molly, who is also going on to Rochdale Sixth Form College,  got seven A*s, an A and two Bs. She said: “I’m not sure what I want to do for a career yet, but I have loved it here at Oulder Hill.”

Another high achiever is Abigail Wensley who got six A*s, five As and four Bs, she is also going to the Sixth Form College.

In core subjects of English/Maths and Science Oulder Hill students achieved over 70% of grades at C or above with a significant increase in top A/A* grades.

In foundation subjects 100% of students gained grade C or above in GCSE Italian and Dance whilst the majority of other subjects achieved 80-90% grades C and above.

Headteacher John Watson said: “We are so proud of our students and their excellent results, it is testimony to all the hard work undertaken by students and staff alike. We also recognise the support of all parents and the community as a whole in contributing significantly towards our continuing success as a school.”
