First World War Centenary Battlefield and Remembrance Tour

Holly Hughes and Francessca Emmott were chosen by the Siddal Moor History Department from competition entries to take part in a four-day First World War Centenary Battle field and Remembrance Tour on the 11 - 14 October 2015.
Holly was also chosen to lay the wreath at The Last Post Ceremony, Leper - Ypres, Menin Gate.
This moving ceremony takes place every evening at 8.00pm.
The Last Post Ceremony has become part of the daily life in Leper (Ypres) and the local people are proud of this simple but moving tribute to the courage and self-sacrifice of those who fell in defence of their town.
