Leslie Bucket given a Criminal Behaviour Order

Date published: 12 November 2015

Leslie Bucket, (04/12/1969) from Rochdale, has been given a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO).

Bucket was handed the two year order on 9 October 2015 after he was convicted of a public order offence.

The Criminal Behaviour Order gives authorities a tool to deal with individuals who behave persistently in an anti-social way or those who are engaged in criminal activity.

The order given to Bucket has the following conditions:

  • He is prohibited from acting in a manner likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
  • Entering the area bounded by Spotland Road, as marked out and outlined on the exclusion map.
  • He is prohibited from having contact with certain individuals as detailed in the order.
  • He is also prohibited from associating with certain individuals as detailed in the order.

Spotland area officer PC Jones for the Rochdale North Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “We are using these orders to tackle anti-social behaviour when offenders persistently cause harassment and distress for members of the public in Rochdale.

‘We are hopeful that this order will address Bucket’s offending and improve the quality of life to neighbours and residents in the surrounding area’.

Breaching the conditions of a Criminal Behaviour Order could result in up to five years imprisonment for an adult.

Anyone who witnesses Bucket breaching the terms of his Criminal Behaviour Order can contact police on the non-emergency number 101 or by calling Crimestoppers anonymously, on 0800 555111.
