Criminal Behaviour Order - Andrew Mercer

Andrew Mercer (13/04/1983) has been issued with a two year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO).

The Criminal Behaviour Order gives authorities a tool to deal with individuals who behave persistently in an anti-social way or those who are engaged in criminal activity.

The order given to Mercer has the following conditions:

  • Not to be in possession of alcohol either open or sealed in any public place within the exclusion zone.
  • Not to enter Rochdale town centre area bordered by Drake Street, Milnrow Road, Molesworth Street/John Street, St Mary’s Gate and Manchester Road,  unless attending pre-arranged appointment with probation/job centre/solicitor. 
  • Not to behave in a manner likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to members of the public.
  • Not to engage in any aggressive intimidating or violent conduct towards any employee/professionals within the exclusion zone.
  • Not to engage in any aggressive intimidating or violent conduct towards any member of the public within the exclusion zone.

Breaching the conditions of a Criminal Behaviour Order could result in up to five years imprisonment for an adult.

Anyone who witnesses Mercer breaching the terms of his Criminal Behaviour Order can contact police on the non-emergency number 101 or by calling Crimestoppers anonymously, on 0800 555111.
