Cameron McGee wins 'Player of the Season' at Pennine Juniors annual presentation

Date published: 09 July 2016

Cameron McGee was the winner of the 'Player of the Season' award at the Pennine Juniors annual presentation. Joe Trinnaman was 'Manager's Player of the Season', Scott Santi took the 'Top Scorer' award and Nathaniel Hughes won 'Most Improved Player'.

The annual presentation eneables all players to get together to celebrate their achievements throughout the season, and after enjoying an hour of football practice the players lined up for their thank you presentations and awards.

Pennine Junior Reds, the under 13s group, had a fantastic end to the season, winning nine of their last 10 matches, although this run was not quite enough for them to clinch promotion.

Manager of the under 13s, Jonathan Cocker, was thanked by parents who appreciate his work with the youngsters.

Keith Trinnaman commented: “Jonathan volunteers his time throughout the season for training and coaching, this year he has moulded a very successful team ethic. His efforts are greatly appreciated, and we all can't wait for the next season to start as it promises to be very successful.”

“All teams in Pennine Juniors have coaches and managers who give up their personal time to help with the young players, and the turnout last Saturday bears testament to the appreciation both the boys and parents have for them.”
