Heywood Cricket Club season ending double bill

Date published: 09 September 2016

The season may be drawing to a close but there is still a double bill of action at Crimble over the coming weekend.

The senior side play their final match of the Greater Manchester Premier League season on Saturday when they host Flixton (12 30pm).

On Sunday, Heywood stage the Under-14s Inter-League final between Greater Manchester and the Lancashire Junior League (1.15pm).

Local interest is provided by Michael Witts, who is vice-captain and wicketkeeper of the Manchester side.

Heywood’s second team still have two vital matches left, at Glossop on Saturday and then at home to Prestwich the following Saturday 17 September (both 1pm starts).
