Fourteen-year-old Daisi Daniels from Rochdale has been selected for the England Alpine Ski Squad and also selected for Great Britain to race in an International Children’s Race in Andorra next February.
The talented skier, who attends Beech House School in Rochdale, is trained by the British Ski Academy when abroad and also attends Manchester Ski Racing Club when at home.
Daisi‘s goals for the coming 2016/2017 season are to gain top three finishes at the British Alpine Ski Championships and do well at the International Children’s Race.
Snowsport England Chief Executive and British Ski and Snowboard Board Director Tim Fawke commented: “Daisi is one of our athletes who has made great progression since her early days with Manchester Ski Racing Club.
"She has been podiums already at the English Alpine Championships and will be looking for more this season.”
Daisi is looking to spend as much time as she can training and racing on-snow this season, before a busy summer racing in the UK snow domes and dryslopes.
Daisi is sponsored by Chill Factore, Beech House School, H Rigg Properties and Fort Vale.
