Date published: 12 July 2017
Littleborough Junior FC Stripes Under 12 won the North Bury Junior Football League Division Two this season and have just been awarded the trophy.
In the team's our first competitive league they played 18, won 16, lost one and had one draw.
Chris Meredith, Littleborough Junior FC said: “It was a great season and the biggest and best thing about it was how all the lads played as a team and really helped each other all year long.
“The results may not have shown it all year but we had some very very tough games but each time the lads pulled through with a wonderful team spirit.
“Next year we move up a division and it will be very hard as it is also a move up to 11 a-side but the lads are up for the challenge."
