Boxing: Austin Henegan and Charlie Braddock in skills bouts

Date published: 27 March 2018

Hamer Boxing Club travelled to Byerdon House Social Club in Burnley on Friday (23 March) with two young guns in the shape of 10-year-old Austin Henegan and 10-year-old Charlie Braddock.

Henegan opened the show in a skills match (where no result is issued) against the local lad, Ashton Dwyer of Roche Boxing Club, and put in a terrific performance, using skills and punching combinations way beyond his years.

Charlie Braddock came on third in another skills bout when meeting James Tansey, also of Roach Boxing Club, and immediately had the Burnley crowd standing onto their feet whilst cheering their approval when he used aggressive punching against Tansey, who returned fire which made for a cracking contest.
