A local six-year-old took round one of the 2017 BKC National Kart Championship by storm.
Seb Moore showed great speed in the Saturday practice sessions and was evident he had the speed to run at the sharp end of the field come race day on the Sunday.
He handled the pressure of his first ever major event well and fought hard throughout the four heats in the day:
Heat 1 - second
Heat 2- third
Heat 3- fifth
Heat 4 - third
The competition was very tough and Seb drove well for a complete rookie at such a high-level event.
Seb incurred a penalty in heat 1 due to a problem with his kart, which dropped him down from a podium finish to sixth overall.
Round two is being held at Hooton Park in Ellesmere Port this weekend.
