Cricket: Dallas open tour at Norden

Dexter Fitton of Hanson Springs hands the sponsorship cheque to touring coach Asif Mujtaba who was professional at Norden for 11 years, watched by the Dallas Knights under 17s players
A cricket team from the United States opened a tour of Greater Manchester and Lancashire on Monday.
Dallas piled up 255-8 in 40 overs.
Spectators then saw a superb display of pace bowling and spin as a Norden XI, strengthened by a few outsiders, crashed to 64 all out..
Their match was sponsored by local company Hanson Springs which has a warehouse in Plano, Texas.

Dallas will play a Lancashire League under 17s XI at Littleborough on Sunday, start noon.
The League squad is: Richie Fox (Rishton), Faheem Basharat (Enfield), Harris Masood (Great Harwood), Tom Horrocks (Haslingden), Thomas Booth (Norden), Will Wystawnoha (Norden), Joe Demaine (Enfield), Dan Wilson (Longridge), Zac Perren (Littleborough), Jake Walker (Ramsbottom), Noah Priestley (Todmorden), Jack Sim (Lowerhouse).
