Cricket: Heywood teams for the weekend

Heywood continue their battle to stay in the Greater Manchester Premier League at home to title-chasing Prestwich on Saturday.

Seven players who have featured in the first team this season are unavailable, meaning that the side will have an unfamiliar look and that the task will be even more difficult.

That has also had an effect on the second team bidding to get their Division Four East title challenge back on track, with the side going to Newton Heath being captained by veteran David Fare.

Heywood’s third team face a Sunday Division 2A game at Brooksbottom, but the side has yet to be confirmed.

• Heywood Second XI (versus Newton Heath, away, Saturday, 1.30pm): D Fare (capt), R Purser, C Kaye, C Booth, T Pagett, W Taylor, L Clarkson, J Keyworth, J Mills, T Sullivan, O Thomas.
• Heywood Third XI (versus Brooksbottom, away, Sunday, 2pm): To be confirmed.
