Heywood third team were well beaten by Worsley despite posting a total in excess of 200 at Crimble.
The home team rattled up 218-7 as new recruit Ashwin Khanna made an impressive 46 and opener Joey O’Neill 38. Other good contributions came from Fawcett (21), Matt Hood (22) and Dave Fare with an unbeaten 24.
Worsley reached their target in the last of the 40 overs to post 219-2 after an opening stand of 177 between J Cox, 71, and A Hussain, 75. Cav Hilton claimed the two wickets to fall.
