Football: Sarah Greenhalgh nominated for Women’s Football Player of the Year

Up against professional footballers from The Football Association Women's Super League, Sarah Greenhalgh, a teacher at St Cuthbert's RC High School, is nominated in the Women’s Football Player of the Year in the North West Football Awards.

She has helped Burnley FC Women towards the league title scoring over 30 goals in all competitions.

Voting for the 2018 North West Football Awards is now open.

The closing date for voting is Friday, 12 October.

The NWFA is an annual ceremony which identifies the surrounding talent in football around the North West.

The ceremony will take place on the evening of Monday, 12 November at Emirates Old Trafford, Lancashire County Cricket Club.
