Cricket: Moore to return to Redbrook

Date published: 11 October 2018

Rochdale Cricket Club has resigned South African batsman Ed Moore for the 2019 season.

Moore enjoyed a successful time at Redbrook last season scoring 978 runs in all competitions before he was forced to return home at the beginning of July.

Mark Reynolds, Rochdale chairman, is delighted and said: “Not only is Eddie a talented and entertaining batsman, he is also a great lad to have around. It is a great boost for the club.’’

Rochdale qualified for the top division of next year’s Lancashire League competition by beating Nelson in a must win game on the last day of the season. The acquisition of Moore for a second season will help provide batting strength in what is expected to be a highly competitive league.
