It seems the younger they get, the more determined they are to face up to the challenging conditions. For Littleborough under 9s this past weekend came the visit of the burgeoning Stockport.
The Bramhall based outfit came with a big squad of 23 players to go up against Littleborough's 15 squad.
There were three very close games that saw both teams come away with plenty to celebrate.
There were some big strong carries from the home side and good support play in tandem led to some fine tries.
It could and would have been more for the young Littleborough side, had handling in slippery conditions not been their downfall at times. However, what they may have lacked in fortune, they certainly didn't lack in effort.
With strong winds to contend with, the desire to carry on with their passing game never wavered and is improving every week.
