Rugby Union: New balcony opened and commemorated

Rochdale Rugby Union Club new balcony opened by Kevin Philbin and Jonathan Rhodes, club Vice-Chairman
The opening and commemoration of the new outside balcony extension took place at Rochdale Rugby Union Club on Saturday 9 February.
Long-time club supporter Mr Kevin Philbin was on hand with Mr Jonathan Rhodes the club Vice-Chairman to officially dedicate the extension to the memory of five young rugby players; Anthony 'Hank' Philbin, Danny Round, Jack Christian, Sam Bishop and Tom Thornton.
Family members and over 100 other guests watched on as the tribute was performed.
Jonathan Rhodes the club Vice-Chairman said: “Rochdale Rugby Union Club wish to sincerely thank everyone who helped in whatever way possible to enable the club to build such a splendid addition to their facilities.
“Special thanks go to Mr Philbin and PLP Construction Ltd for their excellent job well done.”
