Football: Rochdale AFC end of season award presentation winners 2018/19

Ian Henderson was the big winner at Rochdale’s end of season awards presentation on Saturday evening.

The Dale captain scooped four awards, including the prestigious Supporters’ Player of the Season Award and the Players’ Player of the Season honour. He was also named as the Dale Dragon Player of the Season and the South Manchester and Cheshire’s Player of the Season.

Aaron Wilbraham won the first team Goal of the Season accolade for his stunning half-volley against Portsmouth in September, while Toby Phillips was the recipient of the Youth Team equivalent for his 20-yard strike against Port Vale in January which he curled into the top corner of the net.

The Dale in the Community Player of the Season Award went to Calvin Andrew for his outstanding work in the local community.

Ollie Rathbone won most improved Young Player, while Fabio Tavares was named as Youth Team Player of the Season.
