Ladies' darts league needs new teams

New ladies' darts teams wanted
A local ladies' darts league is on the hunt for new teams to join before the new season starts at the end of February.
The Rochdale Ladies Monday Darts League is comprised of teams which play on Monday evenings in pubs and clubs around Rochdale including Blue Pitts, Bay Horse, The Commercial, Comrades Club, Horse and Jockey, and Newtown Club.
The league was founded in 1977, and had 32 teams across two divisions during its heyday.
Christine Hamer said: “We are a very friendly league and have a very mixed age group playing. We have one lady who has played since the league formation and two of the committee since 1978.
“With the decline of pubs and clubs, we currently have six teams and would like to add at least one or two more.
“Our new season will start at the end of February.”
