With the Challenge Cup looming large on the horizon Mayfield have invited Bradford side West Bowling over the Pennines for a 'friendly' fixture. This will be the last game before Mayfield's historic Challenge Cup game down in Cornwall next week.
West Bowling play their rugby in the NCL first division and are not to be underestimated. They came out on top last week in their Challenge Cup round one game against Waterhead.
Mayfield have a few things to sort out in this game with the team settling in with all the new signings. Coaches Sam Butterworth and Steve Wood will be looking for a solid performance as their team get used to each other.
