Rochdale's Muhammad Ali maintains unbroken winning streak after latest fight
Date published: 21 March 2023
Rochdale-based Muhammad Ali is a professional boxer living with type 1 diabetes
Rochdale boxer Muhammad Ali has added another win to his unbroken streak, marking nine victories.
The Diabetic Kid gained his ninth career victory against Dario Borosa at the Vinco Boxing show Liverpool at the Eventim Olympia on 18 March.
Borosa was a durable opponent who hung in there, despite the Rochdale fighter clearly winning every round.
The referee looked at times to stop the fight as Borosa took a lot of punishment.
Ali became the first UK boxer with type one diabetes to fight professionally in September 2018, following a three-year battle against the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC).
He trains under coach Humphrey Harrison.
